Dr. Jeffrey L. SimpsonDr. Jeff is a lifelong resident of the Centre region and a State College Area High School graduate. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University in Health Planning and Administration in 1980. He went on to receive a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC . Returning to the Centre region to be near family, he has been in private practice here since 1985. Dr. Jeff's introduction to chiropractic was at age seven when he received help for some health issues that had not responded to traditional medical care. He began practicing with the more traditional manual adjusting techniques, but has transitioned over the years to utilizing modern/cutting edge approaches that encompass not only the spine, but also the skull, extremities, soft tissues, organ and glandular reflexes. He found that, by using a gentler, more specific approach and adjusting instruments/tools, patients were more comfortable, got better results, and progressed more quickly than with the more traditional approach.
Dr. Jeff strives to help folks understand the true benefits of chiropractic are far beyond the alleviation of back and/or neck pain and that removing interference to the nervous system is a critical, yet frequently overlooked, component to achieving true health and actually living a wellness lifestyle. One of his primary goals is to take the fear out of the chiropractic experience, and elevate peoples awareness to the overall health related benefits of chiropractic care.
Dr. Jeff is married to Cindy and they have two fantastic children, Kelly and Aaron. In his spare time he enjoys reading, riding motorcycles, watching football, and all realms of music; particularly playing guitar and jamming with friends.
